You have a stable Win version, but fear that someday the Win version fails to work, creating Ghost File to back up the Win version is essential, if Win fails, you just need to Restore backup files (Bung File Ghost) is okay, no need to reinstall win and install all kinds of software.
Currently there are two popular types of Ghost File formats are .GHO and .TIB, depending on each type that has a different way. Today I will guide you in detail how to Create Ghost File and Bung File Ghost with those 2 types of formats in the most detailed and standard way in 2019.
To create Ghost files, extract the Ghost file, the first thing is to have a rescue USB BOOT. To create USB BOOT, please read the article " Instructions on How to Create Rescue USB BOOT with Anhdv Boot 2019 ". Once you have USB BOOT then restart your computer to enter rescue mode Mini Windows (WinPE) then follow the instructions below!
1. Create Ghost .GHO file
To create Ghost .GHO files, you must first go to Mini Windows and then launch the " Symantec Ghost " software and follow the instructions as follows:
Click OK to start the Ghost process
Choose Local > Parititon > To Image to continue
Select the hard drive that you have installed Windows on. Continue to click OK .
Select the partition of the installed hard drive to win. Note the size to correctly select the partition containing win. Then click OK to continue.
Select the path to where to save the ghost file, name the GHO file and select Save to save.
Continue to select High to confirm creating ghost file
Select Yes to confirm last time, whether the ghosting process is fast or slow depends on the hard drive.
Accomplished. Select Continue to finish creating Ghost files!
2. Expand Ghost .GHO File
To ensure the process of Bunging Ghost .GHO files goes smoothly, you need to Set Active for the partition and reload MBR for the hard drive to Bung File Ghost up. See section 3 of the article " How to Fix Windows booting Error ".
After extracting the Ghost file, choose Reset Computer to restart the computer!
Accomplished. Finish the process of Bung file Ghost !!!
