The program allows office workers to work with PDF and scans as easily and conveniently as with all familiar text documents - regardless of the source, size and method of creating the file. You can edit any PDF document - from correcting a typo to changing the content of an entire paragraph and page, moving text blocks, adding lines or paragraphs, changing text formatting and document structure, automating repetitive tasks, and comparing documents in different formats.

- View pages, comments and metadata in a way that suits you. For example, in one window, you can open one page of a PDF document or two side by side. Simple and convenient navigation tools will help you quickly move from one page to another, zoom in / out or adjust it to the width of the window.

- Comparison of documents written in different languages. ABBYY FineReader 15 supports comparison of texts in 38 different languages, including several of them at once. The program also automatically detects the language of the document.
- Automation of tasks for digitizing and converting - Using the ABBYY Hot Folder application, you can automate the same type or repetitive document processing tasks. Just specify the path to the folder with the source files to be converted, configure the processing parameters and specify where to save the result. With the help of the application, you can simplify the daily tasks of converting a large number of documents and do it in a few mouse clicks. A hot folder created through the Hot Folder application can process up to 5,000 pages per month * while using up to 2 processor cores for conversion.
- Configure the viewing of a hot folder on a local or network drive, FTP server or mailbox, and all files that fall into it will be automatically converted in accordance with the specified settings and schedule. Using hot folders, you can, for example, prepare documents scanned with an office scanner or received by e-mail for further processing. ABBYY Hot Folder allows you to customize the processing process for each such folder individually: set the task execution time or regularity, for example, every hour, daily or weekly.
- Truly edit PDF documents. With ABBYY FineReader 15 you can edit any PDF-files, including scans, as easily as familiar text documents. You can rewrite or add entire paragraphs, change the formatting of text, edit the contents of cells in tables, and completely change the structure of the document.
- Export document comparison results (Corporate only). In addition to exporting the differences to a PDF with comments or a list of differences in Microsoft Word, you can now also save the comparison results as a Microsoft Word document in Track Changes. This will allow you to easily accept or reject proposed amendments and refine the document.
- Convert documents with more precision. Advanced technologies of ABBYY OCR with elements of artificial intelligence allow to increase the accuracy of text recognition in various languages, as well as improve automatic tag generation when converting files to PDF and PDF / UA formats. Intelligently evaluating the quality of text layers in PDFs created from other applications allows for more accurate results when converting to editable formats.

A new type of Remote User license allows organizations to use ABBYY FineReader 15 with desktop and application virtualization solutions (for example, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Citrix XenApp, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops).
