Use Claude Code's AI agent to write and fix Python components for Grasshopper - with no coding knowledge at all.
What you'll learn
Set up Claude Code and point it at a Grasshopper working folder in a few minutes
Turn a plain-English Descriptioninto a working Python component - no syntax to memorise
Bring AI-generated code into a Grasshopper Python component with the right inputs and outputs
Debug and improve code by feeding errors and results straight back to Claude Code
Know when to trust the AI's output - and the quick checks that catch mistakesRequirements
Rhino with Grasshopper (a free trial works fine)
You can already build a basic Grasshopper definition - wire components together, plug in a slider
No Python or programming experience needed
A computer where you can install Claude Code, and a Claude account to sign inDescription
Add custom Python components to your Grasshopper definitions - without knowing how to code.
Sooner or later, every Grasshopper user needs something the standard components can't do. The answer is a Python component - but writing one has always meant learning to code first.
Not anymore. In this short, hands-on course you'll useClaude Code, an AI coding agent, to write your Grasshopper Python components for you. You describe what you want in plain English, the agent writes the Python, and you run it in Grasshopper. When something breaks, you hand back the error and it fixes it - no syntax to memorise, no programming background needed.
In about 30 minutes you'll build a real component from start to finish - a phyllotaxis spiral, inspired by the seed pattern of a sunflower - and along the way learn how to prompt for clean code, fix errors quickly, and check that the result is correct. You'll leave with a repeatable method you can apply to whatever component you need next. The same approach works for any future idea.

Who this course is for
Grasshopper users who keep hitting the wall where "you'd have to script that"
Architects and designers who are curious about AI but put off by code
Anyone who wants custom logic in their definitions without first learning Python
NOT for people wanting a deep Python programming course - here the AI writes the code, and you learn to direct itHomepage
